Fadi
was in a tenth standard living a miserable life with his single parent family;
his mother was alcoholic and patient of depression. Fadi had no siblings. He
has no friends because no one likes him because of his low social class and background.
He works to sponsor his education and to support the medications of his mother.
One
day, going back to home from school, having books and medicines in his hand, he
bumped with something on ground and fallen down along with books and medicines in
school corridor. He got upset and agitated with situation.
Beside
him a guy name Mike was watching this scene, without saying anything, he put
his hand to help him and start recollecting the books and medicines from the
floor. While collecting the stuff, Mike introduced himself and offer Fadi that
I’ll help you to bring these thing to home and after that we’ll went to the
park and play, Fadi accepted his proposal.
After
playing in a park Mike insisted that Fadi must come to his home and have dinner
with his family. Fadi was unable to refuse him. In a mean while they become
good friends.
Finally
Fadi got someone to share his sadness and a person he can call a friend. Later,
Fadi and Mike got their education together till the masters program.
At
the day of convocation, while all the students were cheering up and throwing
their caps in air, Fadi called Mike to him and said: Today, I want to share a
secret with you, remember that day when we met first. Yes, replied by Mike.

those medicines were not for my mother, they were sleeping pills and I bought
them for me to suicide, those days of my life was miserable, and I’d decided to
leave this world but, you came in my life by showing a little kindness and now
we are here at this place. At that day, your kind gesture was not just helping,
but it was life saving, thank you my friend.
